The National Alliance of Recovery Residences www.narronline.org provides the framework for accreditation standards for ethical recovery homes. Drug court combines meetings with judges, mandatory drug testing, escalating sanctions, and treatment to help people with substance use disorder. Stable housing and peer support help break the cycle of addiction and the crime. If the client completes drug court successfully, their record is expunged. Those groups account for over 20% of people today that are facing a current or future crisis with housing insecurity.
